You Were Never Meant to Be Everyone’s Hero—It’s Time to Heal, Set Boundaries, and Lead Authentically.

You Don’t Have to Wear the Cape to Answer the Call

I Am Not Your Superhero is for the leaders who are tired. The ones who smile through pain, show up out of obligation, and carry more than their share because they believe it's their “calling.” I Am Not Your Superhero is a bold reminder that you were never meant to save everyone—especially not at the cost of your own healing. Through honest reflection and spiritual truth, this book invites you to lay down the cape, confront the trauma, and lead from a place of wholeness, not performance.

ABOUT THIS BOOK

I Am Not Your Superhero – Traumatized Leaders in the Church is a powerful call for leaders to stop suffering in silence. Author Patricia A. Corbitt speaks to pastors, ministers, and faith-driven changemakers who feel the pressure to be everything for everyone—while hiding their own pain. This book exposes the silent trauma many carry while leading others and offers a path toward emotional healing, spiritual restoration, and sustainable leadership. Through personal insight, biblical truth, and practical tools, readers will learn:

  • How to release the superhero mask and fully step into God's grace.

  • The hidden toll of the church leadership.

  • Why your not called to save everyone.

  • How trauma shows up in ministry.

  • Healing is a process not a performance.

  • You can lead and heal at the same time.
